Wilmaa is a fantastic online service allowing you to watch Swiss TV online via your browser. However the service is only available inside Switzerland – unless you use the following trick.
If you try to access the site from outside Switzerland you get the following message “Wilmaa ist zur Zeit nur in der Schweiz verfügbar”. Basically that means that Wilmaa only works in Switzerland for the time being. That can be fixed rather quickly though. All you have to do is make Wilmaa think that you are located in Switzerland.
Fake Your Location to Watch Wilmaa
It is actually a very straightforward procedure to fake your location. Wilmaa will determine your location by taking a look at your computers IP address. This will reflect your location and prevent 
you from signing up or login in with your existing account. By connecting to a Virtual Private Network with a server in Switzerland you can fake your location and use Wilmaa as if located in Switzerland.
First of all you need a VPN provider with a server in Switzerland and at the same time it needs to be able to handle the bandwidth required for streaming video. The best one I have come across is Unlocator. Not only do they have a fast server in Switzerland, but they have also made an app for both Mac and PC that will allow you to switch country by selecting a new location from a drop down menu. That is very handy indeed and will allow you to not only watch Wilmaa while outside Switzerland but also unblock other country specific sites.
Once signed up you can download the app from the Unlocator site and install it. From then on it is just a matter of selecting the Swiss server and click connect – that is it and you can now stream away.
