SeeSaw is a great website to catch up on UK TV shows at your own time. However SeeSaw is only available when located in the UK and now while you are abroad – or is it? Read on for a little insider tip.
When you first connect to the SeeSaw website from outside the UK and try to watch a show you will be meet by the following message:”We’re sorry… You need to be located in the UK to watch programmes on SeeSaw. This is because we haven’t been given permission by the programme makers and rights holders to show the content outside of the UK.
If you’re located in the UK and think that you’ve received this message in error, there may be a problem with your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Find out more.”
Fair enough but there is a way around this blockage. Simply connect to a Virtual Private Network and you will be able to fake your location.
Setting up VPN to access SeeSaw Abroad
The solution is very simple indeed. Sign up with a VPN provider and connect to a server in the UK and you can now use the SeeSaw website as if you are in UK. This is very handy for expats or people travelling abroad.
You will need a VPN provider with plenty of bandwidth located in the UK. I suggest Unlocator as they can easily handle the speeds needed. Besides their app makes it super simple to set up. Install the app and then select a server in the UK from the drop down list and click connect. That is all there is to in and you are now virtually located in the UK and you stream away. Pretty handy right?
Anyhow that is all there is to it if you want to watch content from SeeSaw while outside the UK. Happy viewing.
