Hulu is the go to place if you want to watch TV shows and series online. Unfortunately the site cannot be used from Mexico – that is unless you use the following trick.
As soon as you try to access the site from Mexico you will be meet by the following message: “Sorry, currently our video library can only be watched from within the United States”. Hulu will determine your location on the basis of your computers IP-address and since this number is inherited from your Internet provider they will be able to determine that you are located in Mexico in milliseconds. So what you need to do is make them think that you are located in the US.
How to Make Hulu Think you are in the US Instead of Mexico
So we now know that Hulu will determine your location via your IP-address. So what you need to do is get an American IP-address. This is done by connecting to a Virtual Private Network also know as a VPN. If the server you are connecting to is located in the US then Hulu will think that so are you and in turn will allow you to stream away. It might sound very technical but trust me it is very easy to set up.
What you need to do is download the app from Unlocator available for both Mac, PC and Linux. Once installed simply select a server in the US and click connect. That is really all there is to it and Hulu (or any other website) will now think you are located in the US instead of Mexico. This opens the door for not only Hulu but many other US only sites when located in Mexico.
So that about sums it up. If you want to watch Hulu in Mexico then this is the way to go and it should not take you longer than 5 minutes to set up. Happy viewing.
