How to Watch FOX Outside the US

1 min read

With hit shows such as the Simpsons, American Dad, So You Think You Can Dance, American Idol, Family Guy, Glee and Bones, it is hard to ignore that FOX is a pillar in the American Entertainment industry. What a pity that access to their shows is blocked from outside the US – or is it?

Trick FOX Into Thinking Your Are Located in the US

See in order to let FOX think we are located in the US, we need to do a little trick. FOX as well as many other US websites will look at your computers IP address in order to determine where in the world you are located. If your address does not match one from an American ISP you are out.

So the only way to get around this is to connect to a middleman located in the US. We do this by using a Virtual Private Network or VPN for short. This will connect our computer to a server located in the US and hide our true location from FOX. It sounds complicated but it is a breeze to set up – even if you are not a computer person.

How to Get a Fast VPN Connection

In order to stream video we need access to a fast VPN provider. Otherwise this will simply not work. The best on the market is by far Unlocator. I use them on my computer, iPad and iPhone and the speed is blazing fast. I suggest getting their 6 or 12 months package, as it is perfect for what you are about to do.

The setup is very simple and once you have ordered they will send you an email with the instructions. If for some reason you should run into trouble they have 24/7 live support to help you out. I do however doubt you need it as it is very simple.

Last but not least I want to mention that this method works for more than just FOX. It will work with the entire major networks as well as services like , Amazon Instant Video, Hulu and Pandora. So really it is a no brainer.
