Just because Netflix is not officially available in the Philippines there is not reason you should be left out. By using a nifty little trick you can get access to Netflix as well.
This is really not rocket science. Netflix will determine your location by taking a look at your IP address when you connect to the website. That is why you need to fake your location and make Netflix think that you are located in the US instead of the Philippines. You do this by connecting to a Virtual Private Network or VPN. This will allow you to route all data traffic via a server in the US and then you can both sign up for Netflix and use your account while in the Philippines.
It is fairly easy to set up a VPN connection, but you need to use a VPN provider with plenty of bandwidth in order for this to work. I have tried quite a few providers and Hide My Ass VPN is the best one by far. The video quality is awesome and the ease of use is unlike anything else I have seen. Hide My Ass have made a custom app for both Mac and PC that simply allows you to select where in the US you want to hide and then click connect. That is really all there is to it and you can now sign up for Netflix and stream away.
Along with an account from Hide My Ass you also get access to manual settings you can use on your mobile devices such as iPhone, iPad and Android phones. In order to install the Netflix app on your IOS device you simply need to gain access to the US iTunes store. You can do this by buying a giftcard to the US iTunes store on eBay. Then simply redeem it and your iTunes account will change to a US account and you can now download the Netflix app.
To use the manual settings on your mobile device just take a look for the instructions on the account page once you log into Hide My Ass.
