So here is my review of the Hide My Ass Pro VPN service. Before starting you should know that I am a recent convert from Strong VPN after I got fed up with their service. That way you know what I am comparing the Pro VPN service with.

Hide My Ass uses a native client for both Windows and OS X and manual settings for other devices such as iPhone, iPad and Android Phones. You can however also you these manual settings for your computer should you not wish to use the client software. That however would be a mistake.

See the client software makes the setup super easy and it gives you access to all sorts of tools. This makes changing servers a breeze as you simple just check off a new server you want to connect to and off you go. In comparison to services such as Strong VPN, you get access to all the servers provided by Hide My Ass in all the countries they have servers in, and that is a rapidly growing list (202 servers in 36 countries with over 22500 IP-addresses !)

Since speeds and ping times will vary from server to server the ability to test what server will give you the best speed and ping times is simply amazing. Choose the servers you want to connect to and run the test.

Conclusion of the Hide My Ass Review

At the end of the day I have to take a look at the performance in relation to my needs that are unblocking Netflix and securing my mobile devices when using Wi-Fi networks. Hide My Ass performs as expected and allows me to access Netflix US outside of the US without any lack at all. The ability to test servers and ping times is fantastic and takes the effort out of setting up an efficient VPN connection. The native apps behave just the same on Windows and OS X, and the purist can use the manual settings if they like. Best of both worlds if you ask me – and that is the end of this Hide My Ass Review.
